The latest in the BrokenLore series, Don’t Lie immerses players in a journey through trauma and social withdrawal, highlighting gripping narratives.

Hello, XBOX enthusiasts!
I’m Sebastiano Serafini, CEO and Founder of Serafini Productions, and I’m thrilled to unveil our latest title in the BrokenLore universe, BrokenLore: Don’t Lie. This game not only stands on its own as a gripping psychological horror experience but also contributes to a broader narrative that addresses significant social issues.
BrokenLore: Don’t Lie
At the heart of BrokenLore: Don’t Lie is Junko, a young hikikomori whose retreat into isolation mirrors her struggles with a traumatic past. For context, hikikomori refers to individuals who withdraw from society, often due to deep psychological factors.

As Junko grapples with her memories, the line between reality and recollection begins to blur, transforming familiar locations into haunting reminders from her history. In this chilling exploration, she’s forced to confront the memories and emotions she’s long buried, or risk losing herself entirely.
Linking to Previous Installments
Junko's narrative connects with that of Shinji, the protagonist from Don’t Watch, as they both met in a rehabilitation center back in 2020, each grappling with their respective mental health issues. While Don’t Watch dives into Shinji's isolation origin, Don’t Lie gives players a chance to witness Junko's unique story unfold.

Inspiration Behind BrokenLore
The concept for BrokenLore stems from our desire to delve into interconnected narratives that address pressing societal themes. I aimed to craft a fragmented storytelling approach, where each game stands alone yet allows those curious enough to piece together a broader narrative tapestry over time.
From the outset, BrokenLore was envisioned as more than just horror; it’s a lens into profound human experiences. My fascination with hikikomori grew during my years in Japan, where I observed the complexities of social withdrawal. While this issue is not confined to Japan, that cultural perspective sparked my intrigue.
Future Directions for the BrokenLore Series
With this installment, we’re also exploring the intriguing dynamic between individuals and AI companions—a growing trend where many turn to AI for advice and support. This inspiration is reflected in a character from Don’t Lie, Miki-chan.
This is merely the beginning of our journey within the BrokenLore universe. We have numerous stories yet to share, and with the backing of partners like Wired Productions and Shochiku, we’re excited about the prospects of future collaborations. Our goal is to continue unraveling themes and characters that resonate deeply with players, using the medium of video games as a powerful storytelling vessel.
I want to extend my gratitude to everyone who has engaged with BrokenLore: Don’t Watch, and I hope you find BrokenLore: Don’t Lie to be an impactful experience. You can purchase it today on XBOX SERIES X|S and PC.
